Question: Do you write a Thank You note to everyone who interviewed you?
Answer: You may not need to write thank-you notes to multiple people after an interview, depending on the type of interview.
Just send a note to the person who is considering you for the job. Please accept this note as an opportunity to thank others who assisted in the interview process.
Consider including something along these lines:
“…Also, please extend my thanks to John and Carol. They were both so kind, and it was great to hear them describe my proposed role at the company.”
You should, however, use your judgment. It may be appropriate to thank different people individually in some cases. The cases should be fairly obvious. Stick to the approach above if you’re unsure.
Don’t overwhelm the company with thank-yous and well wishes. I wish you the best of luck with this opportunity! I hope you get the job.
