Question by one of our readers:
What do you write to someone in a thank you note who didn’t attend a baptism but gave a gift?
Some relatives were unable to attend the baptism of my daughter. They did, however, bring some gifts a week or so after clothing, money, and accessories were given. I was wondering how it should be written.
Thank you!
Answer:
Thank you for the great question. For your thank-you notes to relatives who gave you baptism gifts, here is a sample note.
“Dear Relative,
For sending me the baby book, I can’t thank you enough. I love it! When I saw that we had received a package from you, I was overjoyed.
Your gift will surely become her favorite within a short period of time. It is very likely that I will become very familiar with it.
Thanks again. I hope you’ll be able to meet the little one as soon as possible.
Love,
Your Name
It is my hope that this helps.
